Mariu and Africa

I'm MªEugenia Tena and I'm studying Advertising and Public Relations in Pamplona at the University of Navarra. In this blog "entertainment around the world", we'll talk about the most famous ways to enjoy yourself anywhere around the world. We'll divide our job in continents. I'll focus on Africa and its possibilities of entertainment: from cultural festivals to discos and nights out.

We'll have to do a great work on investigation of every continent and I'll be pleased to do it because Africa it's a part of the world in which I'm really interested. I admire the capacity of African people to entertain themselves without having the same opportunities as European people, for example. They manage themselves to be happy and active, they have a great sense of music and dance and they have always a smile in their face. Some people think that the possibilities of going out in Africa are reduced but that's not the reality. They have a great culture that can enrich ourselves.

Apart from that, Africa has several aspects to investigate as there are lots of cultures within it. For example, Muslims in Northern Africa or White Africans in South Africa won't have the same kind of entertainment as the rest of the continent.

Having said that, I hope that this project ends up with an interesting blog where everybody can participate trough comments and opinions and which encourage us to travel around the world looking for some fun!
