This is me and my blog

My name is Leire Emparanza and I come from San Sebastian. I'm 18 years old and this is my first year in Pamplona studying Audiovisual Communication at the University of Navarra.

In this blog titled "entertainment around the world" we will talk about different ways of entertainment around the 5 continents. It is my task to research and write about Oceania and it's festivals, discotheques, theatres, parties and more events. Information will be provided, such as, dates, prices and locations. I will have to make an effort to talk about this continent because actually I don´t know anything about it, but fortunately this is one of the places I would like to go, so it will be good for me to find out more about Australia, New Zeland and the many other islands.

We chose the topic of "entertainment around the world" because there are lot of things to write about and it is also quite interesting.

My name is Enrique Aguilar and I'm a member of the ``entertainment around the world´´ blog.We are students of the english program of the Communication Faculty located inside UNAV campus.We want to show all the global entertainments from discos to all kinds of festivals with all the benefits and problems these kinds of entertainment carries. Each member of the blog has to speak about one continent and the entertainment that we can find out.

Having traveled twice to Japan has made me being passionated about Asia and it is for this reason because of I will be the responsible one for this continent. Asia is the most populated area in the world and covers a great variety of entertainment with hundreds of music festivals like Fuji Rock festival in Japan.We hope this blog could help all of you to solve all the doubts you might have about global entertainment.

Introducing the group, Guillermo Gabilondo

This is Guillermo Gabilondo, member of the entertainment around the world's group, and I'm gointg to be the responsible for telling you all what's going on here in Europe, but only in terms of party!

As most of the people of our age, all of us in the group are keen on the world of the night and hannging out with our friends.Therefore, and as we all study the International Media Program at Navarra's University, we'll try to keep you up to date with all the music festivals you must go to, such as the White Sensation, or the clubs that you should visit as they really make the difference!

We'll also keep an eye on film festivals, as the one that it's just about to take place in my birthtown, San Sebastian's 58 festival, between many other that are also internationally known.

To conclude,  we'll try to focus on as many aspects of entertainment as possible, but we won't be able to cover all for sure!

Mariu and Africa

I'm MªEugenia Tena and I'm studying Advertising and Public Relations in Pamplona at the University of Navarra. In this blog "entertainment around the world", we'll talk about the most famous ways to enjoy yourself anywhere around the world. We'll divide our job in continents. I'll focus on Africa and its possibilities of entertainment: from cultural festivals to discos and nights out.

We'll have to do a great work on investigation of every continent and I'll be pleased to do it because Africa it's a part of the world in which I'm really interested. I admire the capacity of African people to entertain themselves without having the same opportunities as European people, for example. They manage themselves to be happy and active, they have a great sense of music and dance and they have always a smile in their face. Some people think that the possibilities of going out in Africa are reduced but that's not the reality. They have a great culture that can enrich ourselves.

Apart from that, Africa has several aspects to investigate as there are lots of cultures within it. For example, Muslims in Northern Africa or White Africans in South Africa won't have the same kind of entertainment as the rest of the continent.

Having said that, I hope that this project ends up with an interesting blog where everybody can participate trough comments and opinions and which encourage us to travel around the world looking for some fun!

Team member: Itziar Fernández; Continent: America

My name is Itziar Fernández and I am a part of the "entertainment around the world" group. We are crazy about entertainment and since we study in an international media program in the University of Navarra we have decided to write about entertainment all over the globe. Each member of the team will focus on one continent, since I lived part of my childhood in the United States my continent will be America. This continent is too big to cover absolutely all the information about every kind of entertainment but I will definitely try my best to give as much information as possible.

Each one of us will write once a week an entry about a music festival, a disco, a film festival... in the continent they are covering, we will try to include pictures, video and links to all kinds of different sites that have relation to what we are talking about. The point of this blog is to help who ever wants to get information about this theme easily so it would be very useful if all of you take a second to comment and give recommendations on what you want to learn about and this will also give us the chance to learn with you, side by side.
